The Ria de Aveiro is one of the most important and beautiful hydrographic features of the Portuguese coast. It extends for about 45 kilometers, parallel to the sea, where the Vouga, Antuã and Boco rivers flow. With a very diverse aquatic fauna, it is also a privileged place for water sports. It is the main natural attraction of the city of Aveiro.

This complex comprises the Centro Ciência Viva do Alviela (Alviela's Live Science Centre), the camping, the river beach and a pedestrian trail with informations.

This phenomenon, rare in Portugal, is to be found at the Natural Park of the Aires and Candeeiros Mountains. In this depression, named Minde Lagoon, the lake is bigger in the winter, due to the underground galleries that flood with water. It measures about four kilometres by 1800 metres and has a depth of around 195 metres.

After the Mondego, this is the second longest river entirely in Portugal. It starts on the Estrela mountain, at an approcimate altitude of 1900 m, and measures 242 km. The Nabão and the Alge, as well as the Isna, Paul, Bogas, Pêra and Unhais brooks are its main tributaries. It has its mouth in Constância. It is used for producing electricity.

Is in the Douro Valley to meet the Termas de Caldas of Moledo. The medicinal waters are particularly suitable for treatment of diseases of the respiratory system, skin, rheumatic and Musculoskeletal.

There is a river beach, a pier and access ramps. Swimming and the use of motor boats are permitted. Fishing and surfing are also allowed with certain restrictions.
