Casa-Museu José Maria da Fonseca
The Casa-Museu José Maria da Fonseca, installed in the old cellars of company, offers a journey through the history of the best known producer of moscatel de Setúbal, whose fame has crossed borders. The adaptation of the Space Museum was in charge of the architect Ernesto Korrodi, where you can make guided tours in several languages. Born in 1804 in the village of Vilar Seco, municipality of Nelas, José Maria da Fonseca founded his company in 1834 in Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, being the oldest producer of table wine and Moscatel de Setúbal and keeping up to date in the possession of his descendants.
