Valverde
A village that may date back to the neolithic, Valverde is located between the Dão river, the Coja brook and the Teixugueira brook. These lands are not very fertile due to the altitude and to the harsh winters. Nonetheless, its 200 inhabitants are farmers and cattl raisers. A special note to the mother church, the roman fountain and the ruins of "A Mona", a house with a coat of arms. The craftswork includes wool stockings and cheeses.
