Museu de Carros de Cavalos

The Museum of Cars of Horses is a gem almost hidden in the village of Geraz do Lima. The Museum is installed in Quinta da Bouça and was born of the passion, desire and perseverance of doctor Lopo de Carvalho, who throughout his life was coming together the most complete and magnificent collection of horse Cars across Europe. Many of these cars were once used by ancestors of Lopo de Carvalho, and you saved and reconstructed. The collection consists of more than fifty extraordinary cars, manufactured in several countries, such as France, Holland, Italy, Spain, Portugal and United States of America, and by the most prestigious constructors, particularly Henry Binder, Binder Ainnée, j. Henri Labourdette, Rothchild & Fils, Peter & sounds, Henry Vasquez, Daniel Navarro and Niels Hanson & Children. It also has a vast collection of saddles, saddles and other artifacts related to horses. The Museum is open to the public, but requires prior booking.
