Paisagem Protegida das Lagoas de Bertiandos e São Pedro d'Arcos

The Bertiandos and São Pedro d'Arcos Lagoons develop around two lagoons and the banks of the Estorãos River, where the autochthonous spontaneous hydrophilic vegetation predominates. In this space it is possible to find species of rich and fertile vegetation, essential for the functioning of the river ecosystem, which are spread in wet and non-humid areas, pastures and other natural landscapes. About 80 plant species are considered rare or on the verge of extinction. It has several routes, always in contact with nature, and many activities related to the environment, from summer workshops, to adventure sports or equestrian activities. Guided tours are only available by appointment.
