Castro de Lanhoso
Village from the iron age (1st millennium BC-(16th century). IV ad), a arqueossítio of great interest which was the subject of successive interventions. Consists of ruins of dwellings situated at the foot of the Castro culture North of Mount on which stands the castle of Lanhoso, reconstructed and today well-maintained. Among the finds is the set of 3 Gold torques (Archaic Aureas Jewelry – distinctive objects warlords) worked with applications in filigree, anticipate in more than 3 thousand years the local art of working the gold. The most significant finding was the Celtic Helmet, remarkable and unique species in Portugal, whose size would be recognized in 1992, when he was selected to represent Portugal in the Universal Exposition of Seville.
