Igreja e Convento dos Paulistas/ Convento dos Eremitas de São Paulo da Serra da Ossa
The convent of the hermits of the Serra de Ossa was built by order of Hermits in 1647. The inspiration in the figure of Sao Paulo made the hermits were also known as Hermits of St. Paul or Jesus Christ. For this reason, the monument has several designations as, for example, the Blessed Sacrament Convent, Convent of the hermits of St. Paul da Serra da Ossa or convent of Jesus Christ. This is a Mannerist building, which preserves part of the cloister, the corridor of access to the area of the cells, the atrium of the Church of Santa Catarina, the space of the former Gatehouse, a marble staircase, the sacristy and the old Bookstore, today, serving army library. Inside are still the tiles of António de Oliveira Bernardes (18th century), the toilets and the furniture.
