17th-century doors, with similar structure to the Portas de Santo António. Their monumentality and distinct characteristics are moth. Downstream of Vila Velha de Ródão, Rodao doors are an imposing geological formation where the Tagus breaks of between two craggy walls (about 170 feet tall) for a deep lake, excavated by a supposed ancient waterfall that was disappearing until river level with the Lake. Besides being habitat for largest colony of Griffon Vultures in the country, is a privileged place for the investigation of fauna and avifauna, where they can be observed 116 species of birds, many of which are considered endangered species and some rare.
