Much sought after by tourists, what remains of the Albicastrense Castle rises in an area overlooking the city. It was built by the Templars in the Middle Ages, this despite the traces of human presence in that area in pre- and proto-history, having been surrounded by a line of walls and towers. In the precinct of the fortress, in the citadel, were the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo and the Palácio dos Alcaides. This fortification was part of a defensive system that bordered the Tagus River.

Chapel consisting of nave and chancel. In the chancel enhances the vaulted ceiling with frescoes and, on the throne, an image of Santa Cristina, 15th century in polychrome stone. The cruise, in limestone, in the shape of a Latin cross and arms of square profile, bearing the date of 1688.

Traces of rock Mills, located in place of Santa Marinha. The mills are cave dug into the rock structures consisting of a sink for pisa (or calcatorium), outflow channels of liquids extracted from pisa and, in some cases, the pious (or lacus) and post holes that withstood the structure for pressing (or stipites). Had grape processing function, i.e. the production of wine.
