Small beach with many rocks, much sought after by practitioners of surfing, windsurfing and bodyboarding. It is located next to the Fort of São Julião da Barra.
Located on the left bank of the Arado river, this small stretch of sand has excellent lansdscapes. Quite pleasant and lovely, the Molhe Beach is sided by the Pintadinho Beach. A stone and cement sea wall separates the beaches (and the river from the sea) and ends in a small, yet lovely lighthouse. It is an excellent option to watch the fishermen or jog a little. To get to the beach, one may follow the river to its mouth or descend a steep cliff, at the Pintadinho Beach.
A very lovely beach located on a cliff. Well attended by youngsters and families. There is a typical restaurant that specializes in fish and shellfish and has high prices.
A beach surrounded by cliffs. It is almost exclusively attended by fishermen since there is a port there. The Paimogo Fortress, dated 1674, is located here and is a valuable example of the military architecture. There is a small typical restaurant with accessible prices.
A beach that is hardly accessible. To get down to it one must descend a 200 metres high stairway. Below, there is a small stretch of sand and clam waters. It has quality restaurants with typical dishes.
Small rocky sands Beach which extends to the sea, with pedestrian access made by wooden walkways lined by dunes, very characteristic in the Northern beaches. It's a cozy Beach, without infrastructure.

A beach with excellent conditions but little attended because it is located in the southwest extrenme of the island.It has a large area of fine sand and clear waters.
