Pego da Rainha, located near the village of Zebreira, is a waterfall that forms a lagoon. The name comes from the story of a queen who used to bathe in the natural pool beneath the waterfall.

This is a walk of high difficulty level. It starts at the Largo da Aldeia at Rio de Frades and ends by the Tebilhão mills. It is about 6 km long and lasts around 3 hours.

Traveling this way allows us to meet the Furna da Maria Encantada, a cavity of volcanic origin, in the form of a lava tube, about 56.6 meters long and five meters wide.

A 2.7 kilometres long trail that starts at Curral Falso and ends at the Ribeira da Janela. The walk last about one and half hour and reaches a maximum altitude of 820 metres.

Cable car that connects Achadas da Cruz to the beach, with views of Porto Moniz. It is not recommended for those who suffer from vertigo, but it allows a panoramic view of the green slopes and the ocean.

Overlooking the so-called “Terras da Costa”, the approximately 13 km of this area of protected landscape, between Cova do Vapor (Costa da Caparica) and Lagoa de Albufeira, are a set of beautiful erosion forms, with high geological and paleontological interest. There, traces of living beings can be found, namely of plant origin. In areas adjacent to the cliff (pine forests of Medos and Aroeira) we can find some typical flora of the area.

A 5-kilometer walking trail, which takes 3 to 4 hours, follows Levada do Risco, at an altitude of about 1,000 meters, passing the magnificent Lagoa das 25 Fontes.

It's a legend that gives this rock its name. It's said that it was because of the longing of the widowed Duchess of Caminha that she went to cry there. The site is a coastal crag, which earned the name Penedo da Saudade.

Set of fumaroles located in the center of the island, more specifically inside Caldeira das Furnas. Here you can find around twelve types of water, each with different medicinal properties.

This viewpoint is located at the top of Monte de Cadafaz, and to get there you have to climb a granite staircase. At the top, there is a small sanctuary with an image of Our Lady of Sorrow and in the middle of the staircase there is a granite cross. The landscape is magnificent, and you can see a large part of the mountain with the various towns spread across the hillside and, in the background, the Serra de Montemuro.
