The hill overlooks the town of Lamego. The Biological Park, with an area of 50 ha, is located on the Meadas Hill. It has a wild environment with many local plant and animal species. At the distance of 1 km, one finds the Meadas Hill Wind Farm that should be visited. Another obligatory visiting spt is the Meadas Hill belvedere, with imposing views of the granitical Marão Mountain and,way down below, by the Douro river, the town of Peso da Régua.

This set of two caves is located on the left bank of the Arade river estuary. The biggest of them is 100 metres long and the smallest only a few tens of metres. It is a place where archaeological vestiges of the copper and bronze ages have been found. The largest cave is visited by many tourists. It has large, tall rooms, up to six metres, and a shallow lake.

Natural monument encompassed within the limits of the Arrábida Natural Park, it is a surface in the cliffs of Cape Espichel, beneath the Chapel of remembrance, composed of limestone slabs that include tracks of footprints of sauropods. One of the tracks is associated with the legend of our Lady of Pedra Mua, which refers to the tracks of a giant mule that would have transported the Holy hillside above.

This Natural Park is characterised by the existence of a cordon of dunes and beaches that protects a lagoon area, whose average depth is 2 metres. Part of this is permanently submerged, while another part emerges during low tide. The surface of the Park extends from the Ancão Beach to Manta Rota and includes wide variety of habitats, including barrier islands, salt marshes, sand bars and vasa, dunes, salt marshes, freshwater and brackish ponds, waterways, forests and agricultural areas, which refers to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

With a surface of 14,583 hectares, the Natural Park extends from the northern boundary of the municipality of Sintra, near the mouth of the river Hawk, to the Citadel of Cascais, forming part of the metropolitan area of Lisbon. Encompasses areas of great sensitivity for its floristic and landscape, geomorphologic characteristics, and part of the area is part of the list of World Heritage Sites in the category of Cultural landscape. The rocks of the Coastline from Oporto are the oldest which outcrop in Portugal and constitute a geological heritage of high scientific interest-didactic, the Metamorphic Complex of Foz do Douro, classified as Municipal Natural Heritage. In April 2005 was created a thematic route for dissemination of this designated heritage by "Geological Tour of Foz do Douro", signaled with nine panels of information addressed to the general public. This islet plan with about twenty hectares of extension was classified as Partial Natural Reserve in 1984. The whole island and the adjacent coast were classified as a Special Protection area due to the importance of its avifauna. Here can be found several species, with emphasis on the common tern cagarro, garajau – rosado and angelito. Access is prohibited but, for those who want to see, just go to the viewing point of the tip.

Wide forest reserve where you will find an enormous diversity and faunistic and floristic richness.

This space is of great geological significance, in addition to the interest for being breeding grounds for some colonies of seabirds.
