A beach on the Tâmega river.

Located in the centre of Angeiras, this beach is attended by people of all ages.In the area there are very many bars, attended by the region's youngsters.

A beach with fine, light sand, divided by a boardwalk. It welcomes the famed Celebrations of the August's Tide (Festa da Maré de Agosto) every year. It is classed as a Natural Reservation.

Beach located ten minutes by car from the center of Funchal. It has three small sandy beaches and one pebble beach, called Arieiro. In summer it has a Blue Flag and is supervised by a team of lifeguards. It is an attractive place due to the sporting activities that are practiced there and the nightlife that it offers. It has three medical stations, WC, playground for children between 2 and 12 years old, parking and changing rooms.

The sand is clean and the beach is protected by a wide dunes area to the north, as well as by rocks to the east.

A beach where the Arade river and the sea meet, with the castle of Saint Jorge de Arade. Quite attended in the summer, with much space and conditions for practising several sports.
