Located in the municipality of Nelas, between county road that connects Vilar Seco and the intersection of EN, 234\/Mangualde, this park covers a total area of more than 350 thousand square meters. This farmhouse in the middle of the plateau secular River Dão, spans multiple valences, serving as a pedagogical farm, Garden Hall and Congress Center. For nature lovers there is also the possibility of traversing the existing routes, whether on foot, in animals or mountain biking. It also includes maintenance, circuit for sports of nature, with a leisure garden and a picnic Park.

Located on a hill close to the city of Oliveira de Azeméis, La Salette Park was created in 1909 and is currently managed by the La Salette Foundation. Considered an unavoidable reference in the region at an environmental and leisure level, this forest area was classified as being of public interest by the National Forestry Authority in 2009, during the anniversary of its centenary, rewarding size, age, rarity and, above all, species diversity, highlighting the Australian tea tree and the sequoia. The park also features a lake and the La Salette chapel, an important place of worship and architectural interest.

This Natural Park is characterised by the existence of a cordon of dunes and beaches that protects a lagoon area, whose average depth is 2 metres. Part of this is permanently submerged, while another part emerges during low tide. The surface of the Park extends from the Ancão Beach to Manta Rota and includes wide variety of habitats, including barrier islands, salt marshes, sand bars and vasa, dunes, salt marshes, freshwater and brackish ponds, waterways, forests and agricultural areas, which refers to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

It belongs to the Natural Park of the Estrela Mountain and it is the highest massif in the country, with a maximum altitude of 1991 metres in the Torre (Tower). This is where the Mondego, Zêzere and Alva rivers start. It is mostly composed of granite, even though there is also also schist. A special note to the rocks, the cliffs, the colourful woods, the altitude pastures, lakes, natural lagoons (vestiges of the glaciers) and more.
