Paços de Ferreira
Paços de Ferreira is known nationally as the "Furniture Capital" due to the strength of the local furniture industry: a dynamic and modern industry and the major furniture business center of Portugal and Galicia. Anyone passing through can easily transform a mere business trip into a very interesting visit from a historical, cultural and natural point of view. Rich in natural beauty, as it is part of the Serra da Agrela mountain range, it invites walks, especially the trails included in the Romanesque Route. Be sure to visit some historical landmarks such as the Citânia de Sanfins and the Monastery of Ferreira, a National Monument. Delight in the typical dishes: roast kid, Freamunde capon and "sopa seca", as well as the sweets of Calvário, the "brisas do Pilar" or the "Rochas da Citânia".
