The Fundação Maria Isabel Guerra Junqueiro and Luís Pinto de Mesquita Carvalho, placed in front of the Museum-House with the same name, is a private foundation without lucrative ends, which includes a large bibliographic heap of Guerra Junqueiro, her daughter and son-in-law. The palace, dated from the XVII century, where this foundation is placed, is open to visit the permanent exhibition or any other events happening there, always regarding the life and work of the Portuguese writer.

The Casa do Infante, so designated around was born Henry the Navigator, is a complex of buildings that were being built to house the services of the Crown at the port: Customs, the Mint and the Accounting of the farm. Its history dates back to 1325, when King Afonso IV ordered the construction of the "Almazem" Regal, against the will of the Bishop, then Lord of the village. The building was the subject of a rehabilitation process and musealization and today offers a set of diversified valances: Museum; Municipal Historical Archive; Portuenses Affairs library; Memory Room; Exhibition Hall and Auditorium. …

The Sá da Bandeira Theatre – initially Teatro-Circo and, after, Teatro do Príncipe Real – was open on August, 4th, 1855, being at the time a wood hut. In 1867 it was destroyed and, at the same place, a stone house was built. A week after the Republic Implantation, in 1910, it was called Teatro Sá da Bandeira.
