This phenomenon, rare in Portugal, is to be found at the Natural Park of the Aires and Candeeiros Mountains. In this depression, named Minde Lagoon, the lake is bigger in the winter, due to the underground galleries that flood with water. It measures about four kilometres by 1800 metres and has a depth of around 195 metres.

A walk by the Amiais Brook that flows to the Alviela river. Along the way, enjoy the vegetation and the rare rocks.
