Museum opened in 2000 to expose a vast collection of artefacts, such as agricultural implements, objects of everyday use, old costumes and looms. The visits are conducted only under markup.

Installed on "House of the Azores", the Museum of Watercolour Roque Gameiro consists of 3 floors. The Museum consists of a set of two hundred watercolours, drawings of Alfredo Roque Gameiro and his immediate family, as well as portraits of Roque Gameiro dedicated by other artists.

This complex comprises the Centro Ciência Viva do Alviela (Alviela's Live Science Centre), the camping, the river beach and a pedestrian trail with informations.
