A village that may date back to the neolithic, Valverde is located between the Dão river, the Coja brook and the Teixugueira brook. These lands are not very fertile due to the altitude and to the harsh winters. Nonetheless, its 200 inhabitants are farmers and cattl raisers. A special note to the mother church, the roman fountain and the ruins of "A Mona", a house with a coat of arms. The craftswork includes wool stockings and cheeses.

Full of green pastures and forests, the village/parish of Gradiz, in the council of Aguiar da Beira, has about 200 inhabitants, mostly farmers, cattle raisers, construction workers, resin collectors and bread makers. Very old, of German origins, Gradiz boasts its originally baroque mother church and the Chapel of Saint Iria, as well as the chapel of Saint António, the Vilhena family manor and the Vouga river spring.

Dating back to the late neolithic, the villag has several archaeological vestiges of different cultures and civilizations, namely the menhirs, the biggest of which (four metres) is classed as a national monument. There is also the castro (a celtic village) of Carapito. The pillory (16th century, just after the charter) and the mother church also stand out. The village/parish is located on the left bank of the Tàvora river and reach its highest point, the Pisco Mountain, at an altitude of 986 metres. A special note to the local cheese.
