Whether suffering from celiac disease, chronic and permanent gluten food intolerance, or just aiming for a healthier lifestyle, the consumption of gluten-free products is increasingly popular. The Portuguese Celiac Association assigns certification to safe celiac sites and products, and there are currently six gluten free restaurants in Portugal, together with a bakery, six pastry shops and two ice cream parlors. The list, which All About Portugal mentions below, may not be long, but the quality has not been set aside in any of these spaces. Here you can safely eat delights you considered forbidden such as pizzas, pastas, risottos, cakes and pancakes.
