Teatro Municipal Sá de Miranda
In 1875 a group of citizens of Viana do Castelo created a society called Companhia Fomentadora Vianense, that intended to create a thetre in Viana do Castelo. The works start in 1878 and the theatre is inaugurated in 1885. The paintings in the main room and the ceilings are by João Baptista Rio. A special note to eight medalions that picture playwriters such as Gil Vicente and Almeida Garrett.
