Igreja Nossa Senhora da Atalaia
A mannerist construction, rebuilt in the 18th century. The interior walls are covered by white and blue tiles of the 17th century that picture scenes of the life of the Virgin Mary. On the back of the church there is a eucaliptus wood that ends in a fountain, the Fountain of Our Lady or Saint Fountain, where, according to the legend, Our Lady of Atalaia appeared. That is where the traditional symbolic "lavagens" (cleansing) still take place during the main popular celebrations in the parish, in the last Sunday of August.
