Museu Palheiros de Mira

The museum functions in an original and traditional barn and features the fishing activities of the central Portuguese area, namely the Gãndara area. It has paintings by famed national artists and documents about the pillories of Mira, the water mills, the Casa do Visconde (House of the Viscount), the Mother Church of Mira, the chapel of the Mira beach, the dunes, the lagoons, the pinewoods, the tree species and the region's animals.
