Largo da Oliveira
It is in this square that you can find what remains of the old Convent of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, the church of Oliveira and the beautiful cloister inserted in the Alberto Sampaio Museum. In front of the church, you can see the pattern that recalls the victory of D. Afonso IV over the Moors, in 1340, in the battle of Salado. Also noteworthy is the Domus Municipalis, an imposing monument that was the county palace at the end of the 14th century, highlighting the porch supported by five Gothic arches, the five bay windows and a statue on the facade of the building that represents Guimarães.
