16th century construction, with brick arches, where, according to tradition, Luís Vaz de Camões lived during his visit to the town. In the 18th and 19th centuries it was profoundly altered, highlighting the very thick load-bearing walls made of plastered stone and brick masonry and the foundations of the corbel that supported the already demolished five-span round archway. The ruins of the old Manueline door, a 16th century door with a straight lintel and a beveled brick window with a boarded-up curved lintel, are also visible.

Roman and medieval necropolis, consisting of four graves of different types and chronology. Some graves are structured with vertical slate slabs, others in the shape of a box, and still others as anthropomorphic sarcophagi. The excavations carried out at the site allowed the removal of some remains consisting of ceramic artefacts, in addition to an anthropomorphic stele, currently on display in the Abade de Baçal Museum garden, in Bragança. However, of all the tombs discovered, only two anthropomorphic sarcophagi remain, leaning against the elevation on the Epistle side of the Sanctuary of Santa Marinha.

The Plaza de armas has the shape of an irregular polygon. The entry in the Alcazaba is done through three main doors: the door to the corner of Olivenza and the s. Vicente. The keep was rebuilt in 1488. On the entrance door are the arms of d. João, surmounted by a tile Panel represented the Holy family. The primitive fortifications have been built on a castro later romanized. After the reconquest from the moors of Elvas, d. Sancho II had rebuilt the fortification. During the reigns of d. Dinis, King John II and Manuel suffered modifications.

It is a military monument of great beauty, classified as a National Monument since 1910. It dominates the landscape from a height of 930 meters, in the middle of Serra de Serigo. Built in the 14th century, its current construction is probably the result of 16th century alterations to the original medieval castle. It is a citadel with a triangular plan and a door flanked by two turrets, with small balconies above, supported by corbels and crowned with prismatic battlements. The Loggia is the restaurant of the Machado de Castro Museum. Located in upper Coimbra, the restaurant-terrace offers a breathtaking view of the University, the Mondego River, and the 16th century loggia of the Episcopal Palace. Designed by architect Gonçalo Byrne, proposes a menu like in ancient Rome: divided into Gustatio (entries), Primae mensae (main courses) and Secundae mensae (dessert). At lunch, the Loggia has a buffet of traditional Portuguese cuisine (7 €, soup + main dish). On Saturdays and Sundays, the dishes are COD au gratin and duck rice.
