The construction of this space began in 1570 and ended only in the XVIII century, a fact is known for. The National Pantheon was placed here since 1916, with the Vasco da Gama, Afonso de Albuquerque, Nuno Álvares Pereira, Camões, Pedro Álvares Cabral, Infante D. The Lenta river beach has a small sandy area, contrasting with the large surrounding leisure space. This verdant area, measuring around 30,000 square meters, has beautiful riparian forests that extend to the banks of the river. Located in the Parish of Lovelhe, next to INATEL, it has good access and good support infrastructure, such as a car park, picnic area, a bar and even a lifeguard. On the hottest days, go and sunbathe or take a dip on the banks of the Minho River.
