A small village where the ruined Convent of Our Lady of Carmo stands out, as well as the Mother Church and the chapels of Saint Pedro and Saint Bárbara. The "cavacas do Freixinho", a local sweet, are famous.

The village is located on the foothill of the Freita, with several manors and large, well preserved and traditional farms. The 19th century Noronhas manor, usually called House of Dom Dinis because the "poet king" once stayed there, stands out in this village. A special note to the Mother Church, the penso and A. De Barros manors and the Carrascal House as well. The local craftswork is based on stone sculptures.

Located on the left bank of the Távora river, Faia i close to the Vilar Dam. Its architectural heritage includes the Mother Church and stone tombs on the street. Its craftswork includes tin objects.

The plac where the writer Aquilino Ribeiro was born in 1885. Its architectural heritage includes the Mother Church, the Convent of Saint Bernardo, The Tabosa Fountain, the bridge, the chapels of Saint Estêvaõ, Saint Quitéria (village of Santo Estêvão), Saint Amaro, the Lord of the Miracles and Saint Bárbara and the manor. The craftswork includes wood objects (ox carts).

Located on the banks of the Távora river, Vila da Ponte, the "Pearl of Távora", is famed for its traditional small river fishes. This village has about 700 inhabitants who are mostly farmers and cattle raisers. Theere are also small firms. The roman bridge on the Távora is about 50 metres long and stands on four arches. The 17th century pillory signals the turning to a parish siege in 1661.

Built at the location of an old castro (a celtic village), near the Távora river, the romanesque Mother Church of Saint John the Baptist stands out, with its portal and its archivolts, the niches, the carvings and a visigoth chapiter. On the lovely and well preserved square, one finds the pillory (Public Interest Construction).
