The Theatre Chaby Pinheiro is locatd by the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, at the "Sítio". It is an early 20th century building, planned by the architect Ernestro Korrodi & Thieraga. It has a rather rich interior that contrasts with its simple facade. It is on of the most important places in town where cultural activities take place.

The Camões theatre is the headquarters of the Companhia Nacional de Bailado (National Ballet Company) and is especially devoted to dance. It also organizes business events.

Glorious times follow, with known cultural programming, with the presence of the National Theatre Company, Amélia Rey Colaço e Robles Monteiro, Maria Matos, Vasco Santana, among others.
