A dam on the Ave river, surrounded by a lovely landscape with oak trees and chestnut trees. The most common fish species are the trout, the chub and the nase. The reservoir is classed and sports and leisure activities (motor boat, swimming, fishing, surg) are permitted with certain restrictions.

A dome shaped dam, on the Cávado river, built in 1955 for the production of electricity. The reservoir is one of the loveliest in Portugal, located on the southern borderline of the Gerês National Park. The best panoramic view of the valley and of the reservoir is from the Pedra Bela Belvedere, to the right from the Caldas do Gerês. Sports and leisure are authorized, even though only in certain areas.

Bayou in the Mira river, surrounded by a landscape of much vegetation. The place is rather peaceful and ideal for resting. The most common fish species are the achigan, the barbel and the carp. The picturesque villages of Santa Clara-a-Velha ( with its roman bridge and the chapel of Our Lady of Cola) and Sabóia are also worth a visit. By the dam there is an inn.

The reservoir is on the borderline between Portugal and Spain. A narrow bridge connects the territories and has views of the flowing of the reservoir into the Salas river. There is much cattle eating from its fertile lands.

A dam located on the Peneda-Gerês National Park, on the Barroso plain (Cávado river). It has a small beach that becomes submerged when the water level rises. The most common fish species are the nase, the barbel and the trout. Sports and leisure under certain conditions.
