This belvedere has views of the village of Barrosa and, when the days are clear, the Estrela Mountain.

A place with exceptional views of the Arda and Douro rivers. Along the sanctuary there are several tables and benches for picnics and for conviviality, as well as lawns and tree areas with plenty of shade.

The São Mmede Hill, with one of the prettiest landscapes in the Minho region, is 750 metres high. Besides the astounding views, one may visit the Fontarcada Church, the monasteries of Tibães, Rendufe and Bouro, the castle of Lanhoso, the Tower of Machados (Axes or a family name) and the shrines of Sameiro, Our Lady of Pilar and Porto de Ave.

At the Faro Hill, one has the loveliest views of a wide part of the parish of Valença and of the neighbouring parishes, as well as of the Minho river. By the belvedere there are several chapels, one of which devoted to São Pedro de Rates, the medieval saint that protected the inhabitants from the plague. This elevation is quite visible to the east of Valença.

A lovely belvedere where the chapel of Our Lady of Tocha, a pre-roman monument, stands, also known as Castro.

In the centree of the Lousada village there is this small hill with a beautiful landscape and pleasant shadowy spaces, plus plenty of quietness.
