The large rocks that surround and separate the shore from the houses, protect the latter from the sea storms. On the northern side, there are shacks used by the fishermen for keeping the utensils of the Xávega fishing, a true attraction on the Vagueira beach. The fishermen nter the sea on two paralel boats with a net tied to its extremities and to ropes that stay on the beach. Near the beach there is an aquapark, several typical restaurants and nice terraces.
