Mirandela

Built in 1671 underwent refurbishment in the 19th century, most notably the demolition of the bell towers. On the facade, are two statues of the founders of the order of the Holy Trinity (São João da Mata and St. Felix of Walloons). Inside the altarpiece in gilt and coffered ceiling of the chancel.

É uma viagem no tempo, dado que funciona nas antigas instalações da Moagem Mirandelense e tem como atração principal um lagar de azeite hidráulico com mais de 100 anos, em perfeitas condições de funcionamento. O espaço celebra a temática do azeite, com vários espaços para visita: da Sala do Lagar, ao Pátio da Oliveira, passando pela Sala do Campo e do Fruto, Sons do Olival, Sala da Laboração e Transformação da Azeitona, entre outras.

Very nice area to walk around, starting with the garden next to the bridge. Continue the walk, coursing through your floating dock and marginal, enjoying the magnificent views it offered. The Romanesque bridge, with its twenty arches, deserves special attention. If you choose to cross this bridge, you will find on the other side a nice leisure area with a children's playground, minigolf, tennis court and a restaurant.

This castle, left only a few traces. The castle is visible the door de Santo António, formed by two thick walls, on which rests a bow with broken clipping the outside and back perfect at interior. On the door, there are traces of primitive adarve, currently transformed into terrace housing. There are also small sections of wall.

This manor house is placed on the XVIII century and it has a longitudinal plan. It is composed by three distinct bodies’ split by the main body. On the building centres, on the top of the central body there is the Coat of Arms from Counts de Vinhais. The stonework has to be mentioned.

This is a 17th century Palace with three bodies, a central one with two floors and two lateral ones with one only floor. The doors and windows stonework are rather remarkable. This building at the present is home for Mirandela City Hall.

This church was built in wood in 1973, where there was a small chapel built in masonry whose date is unknown, having been demolished to give rise to the current church a lot bigger and modern.

The most extensive of all the bike lanes of Marinha Grande traverses the Atlantic road. Beginning in the urban center of s. Pedro de Moel, heading towards the North, passing by the Lighthouse of St. Peter (Penedo da Saudade), Praia da Concha, Old Beach, crosses the Ribeira de Moel and ends by the Praia da Vieira, making connection to the bicycle path of the river Lis.

Museu Joaquim Correia

This museum, located in the old Barosas Palace, is composed of works donated by Joaquim Correia, professor and sculptor, to the Marinha Grande Town Hall. Joaquim Correia was one of the greatest artists in the parish.
