This small group of houses is located by the Marvão mountain. Located inside 17th century walls, it stands out for its unity and homogeneity. Located near Spain, this border fortress that exists since the 12th century had its first charter in the 13th century. Classed since 1978 as a public interest parish, Piódão is located near the Hermínios Hills and is one of the oldest villages in the country, surrounded by wide green areas. The village was firstly inhavited by sheperds. Its houses are mostly made of schist. Because it is difficult to get to, the village is known for the escape of well known criminals. A special note to its four chapels: Saint João, Saint Bárbara, Our Lady of Saúde (Good Health) and Our Lady of Good Parto. The Vilamoura Environmental Park occupies an area of 200 ha of land owned by Vilamoura and was created with the aim of ensuring the preservation of ecosystems of great natural and landscape value. It integrates different areas of land occupation, which originates different types of habitats, with emphasis on wetlands dominated by reedbeds, areas of agricultural land, golf courses, and an area with dense riparian vegetation along the Ribeira de Quarteira.

With an area of over 18,000 hectares, it is one of Algarve's ex-libris. A place of great natural beauty, it is home to around fifty different species of animals and plants. It is a large natural channel, which runs parallel to the sea.

Leisure space in the center of Loulé, with extensive trees and garden areas for picnics. It also has maintenance circuits and is open every day, 24 hours a day.

The "Centro Cívico" (Civic Centre) is located by the Ferreira Monastery, a national monument that dates back to the 12th century. It has an auditorium of great architectural quality, a bar, a water mirror and a recovered ancient tank. It has also a pedestrian walk, tree areas and a large glade with a view of the monastery with a picnic area and a children's playground. The Centre is composed of two buildings, one with an auditorium for 126 people and a stage, and another with a bar and a terrace.

The "Parque Urbano de Paços de Ferreira" (Urban Park of Paços de Ferreira) is one of the few that are located in the town's centre in the country. Ot has about 195 000 square metres, a green refuge directly in touch with the rural space.It is an ambiental, rural and leisure park, fit for the practice of sports, for culture and for youngsters and families to get together.

This is one of the most beautiful panoramic places in the Paços de Ferreira parish. When the sky is blue, one can view magnificent landscapes of the Minho and of the Cabreira Mountain. Priviliged for its small but beautiful valeys.
