The church has a longitudinal, stepped plan, consisting of a nave and chancel, with an adjoining sacristy and a side chapel. The architecture is Mannerist and Baroque.

It belonged to the ancient franciscan convent when it was built, in the 16th century. It was adapted to become a parish church after 1835. It is an example of the mannerist architecture but with the simple features of the franciscan churches.

The sand is protected from strong winds by two cliffs that descend to the sea. The sand is divided by the mouth of the Zambujeira River. It's a good area for extreme sports.

A shell-shaped beach, enclosed at the ends by seaside cliffs and protected by imposing dunes, it is highly sought after by tourists seeking the long, calm sands with good swimming waters.

It's a large beach that stretches all the way to the river. You can enjoy visiting the caves and the furnas (holes) in the rocks. There are numerous campsites near the beach. There are also simple restaurants with delicious menus.

A beach located between a vast stretch of sand and enormous dunes from the Tróia peninsula to Sines. Along with Carvalhal Beach, it completes a magnificent trio of beaches spanning just a few kilometers. A large, somewhat rocky beach with clear waters, located in a small valley. Great for children because of its small stream.
