This church is composed by one only nave and lower and narrower rectangular main chapel with pilasters on the façade corners, in which the lateral are scoured with cornices and have two windows. On the inside it is still visible the high choir above lower arch in wood, pulpit on the Gospel side, two lateral chapels with carved altarpieces, wall on the triumphal arch totally covered in golden polychrome carving. The Douro Line, with a total of about 200 kilometers, goes through, in part of the section, very close to the river, offering a wonderful view over the river and the vineyard slopes. There is also, on Saturdays from June to October, a steam locomotive dating from 1925 that runs the section between Régua and Tua stations, on a time travel... a slice of regional salt cake, to the sound of traditional songs. At the Pinhão station taste or buy wines and gourmet products from the region, and admire the fantastic tile panels on the outside of the building.
