A dam on the Ocreza river, near the place where it meets the Tagus river. Finished in 1951, it only became fully operacional in the late 1980s, after several alterations of its structures. It produces electricity. Sports are permitted, with some restrictions.

A dam on the Varosa river, on the Douro river basin. The most common fish species are the barbel, the nase, the chub and the trout. This place is usually the arrival place of canoeing races on the Varosa and Balsemão rivers.

A dam on the Odivelas Brook (Sado river basin), located on a plain. It functions as a reservoir of Odivelas. The most abundant fish species are the barbel, the small-mouth bass and the carp.

A dam on the Lima river, by the border, between the Soajo and the Amarela (Yellow) hills. The most common fish species are the trout, the barbel and the nase. Conditioned sports and leisure activities.

It belongs to a set of small waterfalls and ends at the Fervença waterfall, with an altitude of 15 to 20 metres. It is acceded by the EM (Nogueira/Portela do Vade). The waterfall is not fit for sports.

Dam on the Alva River, Mondego Hydrographic Basin, used to control river floods and to divert the inflows to Aguieira, through a tunnel.

Inserted in the Protected Landscape Area of Serra do Açor, near the village of Benfeita, Fraga da Pena is a kind of replica, on a reduced scale, of Poço do Inferno, in Serra da Estrela. When heading towards Ribeira da Mata, the waters of Barroca das Degrainhas encounter a difference in level of more than 20 meters, forming a waterfall and, below, a small pond. The cliff is covered with moss and surrounded by vegetation. The temperature of the place, even in summer, is extraordinarily low.

The Alvorninha dam, with its 711 cubic metres of water that water 127 hectares of farmlands, is a big aid to agriculture.

The Bufo Reservoir is located on the Murtega Brook, right on the Alentejo plains, near the Spanish border.

A dam of the mixed type, built between 1963 and 1968, on the Sado river basin (Roxo Brook). It has a quay, anchorages and ramps of access. Sports are allowed under certain conditions. It is located on a plain.
