The sulphurous waters of Vizela are known internationally for its beneficial and therapeutic properties since the time of the Romans, being the Balneary of Vizela the main tourist attraction of the city. The current building is a magnificent architectural exemplar surrounded by gardens that provide the general relaxation and inspire feelings of tranquility and appeasement to its visitors.

A dam inaugurated in 1973, 43 metres tall, located between the mouth of the Ocreza river and the Portas de Ródão. Fishing, swimming, windsurfing, skiing, sailing, jet skiing and motor boating are permitted.

The Ocreza river flows along about eighty kilometres, from its spring, on the Gardunha Hill, to its mouth, on the Tagus river. It has several tributaries.

Since the 18th century Sangemil waters are used for therapeutic purposes. For a long time that these waters aroused curiosity in people, finding benefits for the body and comfort for everyday life. The use of this resort is designed primarily for the treatment of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases.

A medium sized waterfall located on a rather steep hillside, that forms a small lagoon and continues in a brook.

Small artificial dam, located near Parade, which receives the pure water that descends from the Serra Amarela, being fed by two waterfalls: the Saxoeira and the collar.

The Poço Azul (Blue Well) is a rocky space with crystal clear waters, small wtaerfalls and a rather deepm lagoon where one may swim. It is signalized and it is easy to reach.

A dam located in the Campilhas Brook (Sado's river basin), near the Vila Nova de Mil Fontes beach and the Pessegueiro Island (Peach Tree Island). Sports and leisure activities such as fishing and swimming are allowed.
