Wonderful and extensive tongue of clean sand, clean waters, ideal for fans of sport fishing. It has harmoniously lined up straw hats and several restaurants and beach bars. Access to the beach is by boat for 1.50 euros (round trip). Located in front of Cabanas, a tuna fishing village that has not yet lost its identity, you can see the anchored boats that keep the traps for octopus fishing and the nets for artisanal fishing.
It is an extensive stretch of sand, between the sea and the Ria Formosa, located about 9 km from Faro city. Access is by boat, from Faro, or by car, crossing the only existing bridge for this purpose, with alternating traffic, which generates long queues.
