The Official Dark Sky Observatory is located in Cumeada, in Reguengos de Monsaraz, in a former primary school. The space was reconverted and adapted to function as the Official Observatory of Dark Sky Alqueva. It has a permanent astrophotography exhibition by astrophotographer Miguel Claro and a mini-museum, where you can touch a real meteorite, see the original autograph of the last astronaut to go to the moon and other curiosities.

Chiesa Madre (mother church) of the village of Monsaraz, 1500s, has replaced the previous Gothic Temple since it was contaminated by the plague. The Centre of the pediment, the tiled Panel represented the Virgin of conception. On the facade are quadrangular towers 2 and a false portico of 3 blind arcades.

The giant flying buttresses and the placement of the Tower in the middle of the facade make this church one of the finest examples of Gothic Revival architecture in Portugal.

This granite monument, shaped like a mushroom, has more than 2 meters high. Has a peculiar morphology, resembling a mushroom, with the narrower base than the top with the top height. It is one of the four doors that allows to access to the inside of the Castle of Monsaraz defensive walls which reflects the armed forces fears that used to exist by that time. Each door is made out of granite, red clay mortar and burnt lime. This, like Alcoba door, is done in plain arch.
