Almost abandoned, the Palace of Queluz was restored in the 1930s for the 1940 Exposição do Mundo Português (Exhibition of the Portuguese World). Currently, one can still see the lakes of Neptune and Amphitritis, the sets of sculptures and a part of the big lake.
