Also called the Jesus church, it was rebuilt after the earthquake. At the interior body of the façade are arcades with iron gates, sided by Doric pilasters. The second body, cut out and backed on the sides, has three big windows. Inside are worthy of notice the glazed tiles, the paintings, the carved retables and the sculptures.

A neoclassical style work, dated from the XVI century. It is a construction with an Italian influence ended by a dome. The church has neoclassical cupola and the inside is covered with marble. It has a small chapel where is the tomb of Pombal. It is called the “memory” church evoking the attempt on D. José life in 1759.

Built in 1761, the classification of National Monument only includes the main portal, Manueline, from the Conceição dos Freires Church. Inside are worthy of notice the P. Alexandrino paintings and the images attributed to Machado de Castro.

The primitive church was destroyed in 1755, and its reconstruction was ordered by Dom José, at the ruins of the Misericórdia Church, from which was save the lateral portal, manueline, two windows, also manueline, a low embossed work of Nossa Senhora da Misericórdia and the Santíssimo Sacramento chapel, from the XVII century.

Inside the small chapel are the glazed tiles, the mural paintings, the woodcarving, the sculptures, and the chair of São Gens, which belonged to the first bishop of Lisbon. The legend says that the stone large chair is do-gooding for pregnant women, making the childbirth easy.

This chapel is an example of the manueline religious architecture. Inside are worthy of notice the glazed tiles application. You may find them on the walls of the single nave, covered with figurative glazed tiles panels, as well as the chapel walls, the altar and the pews of the nave.
