Settled in a platform with three round steps, it has monolithic column with plain surface. The top is made with a flat Motto almost touching the column, without capital. It is crowned by a simple piece.
Column with cylindrical shaft and Corinthian capital where rests the cruise. The base of the cross is decorated with figures and oval discs with inscriptions and dates from 1757. On one side is the figure of Christ and on the opposite side of our Lady.

This church has one only nave with a high choir, main chapel and lateral chapel. It was integrated on a Franciscan Monastery from which it is kept the porch with three arches. The portico holds the Renaissance outline as well as the funerary chapel from D. Francisco Coutinho. On the inside stands out the fifteen hundreds paintings and the ceiling covered with coffers. Next to the main chapel there is a defensive tower.
This building, dating from the 18th century, has worked as a Hospital and infantry regiment. Only in 1929 is that opened as a theatre, lasting until 1987. After restoration, it reopened in 2007. The room of spectacles, circular in plan, is covered with a dome and the places are distributed by audience, stresses and two levels of staterooms with balconies ornamented. The building is classified as a Building of public interest.
This watch do Sol is situated in the former via pombalina. Had great importance in the past, once indicated the hours to passers-by. The monument is in good condition.
