Passos do Calvário / Via-Sacra de Óbidos

Set of five steps from Via Sacra that mark the route of the procession of Steps on good Friday. Three of these steps are embedded in the Solar dos Sanhudos, two in the bell towers and one on side wall.

This Mannerist and Baroque building was built in the beginning of the XVII century and was rebuilt on the XVIII century (after 1755 earthquake). During the XX century it was used as the City Hall and later it was rebuilt and transformed into a residence. In 1977 the City Council bought the edifice and in 2006 here they settle the City Museum.
Solar dos Sanhudos / Hotel Real d' Óbidos

Baroque building of rectangular plant and two floors. It was built in an area where there was already an older solar and, after belonging to the Sanhudo family, was adapted and in 2003 opened to the public as a Hotel Real d ' Óbidos.

Mannerist building of rectangular plant consisting of three floors. Of the original building only the side of vergas stonework. In 1970 it was here installed the Municipal Museum, until 2003, when they started the work on the adaptation of the space for the Museum Abílio Matos e Silva.

This baroque and neoclassic church was built on the 18th century. It is composed by a nave, a main chapel, some dependencies and a bell ringer tower. In 1989 it was assigned to the Municipal Council, being used since then as the Municipal Auditorium.

19th century Church consists of a nave with coverage in caissons and a chapel covered with barrel vault. In the interior, especially the three crossed arrows in the ceiling of the nave.

This building with three naves has a prismatic bell ringer tower with ashlars irregular on the corners, covered by a pyramidal dome and with traces from the Manueline. The altarpiece is in golden carving with a sacrarium with a mannerist structure. It presents a mannerist doorway and on its inside it stands out the glazed tiles coverage from the 17th century and the paintings from the 17th century from Baltazer Gomes and from Josefa de Óbidos. Also, worthy to mention is D. João de Noronha tomb considered a masterpiece from the Portuguese Renaissance.
