The 12th-century temple, the present 17th century paintings on the walls depicting São Torcato and São Miguel. Of the primitive Romanesque construction remain only one portal on one of the arms of the cruise and a long row of Lombard arcaturas along the lateral cornice of the Church.

Convent founded in the 12th century by Queen Dona Mafalda, wife of Dom Afonso Henriques. The monastery owes its current appearance to the reconstruction that took place in the 16th century. The vault of the chancel and the cloister covered with tiles from the 18th century date from this time. The interior follows rococo and neoclassical styles. Note the choir, pulpit, organ and rococo carvings decorated with angels and mythological figures. In 1951, a fire damaged the convent part, which was restored and turned into a Pousada.

Traditional meeting point to celebrate the conquests of the people of Guimarães. At one end of the Square, you can find a beautiful Renaissance fountain with three bowls. In the center of the square, an iron railing was placed to recover the old layout of the square.

Medieval square where, according to tradition, the Holy Virgin Mary was brought by the apostle São Tiago, having been placed in a pagan temple in the square. Imposing statue with several tribute plaques, erected in honor of the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques. It was designed by Soares dos Reis and was inaugurated in 1874. For some years it was in Praça do Toural, until it was definitively placed there.
