At a distance of about 20 km from Terras de Bouro, on the southernmostr area of the Gerês mountain, the Arado waterfall is part of a lovely group of waterfalls and numerous brooks of the Peneda-Gerês Natural Park. The Arado waterfall stands out because the water falls on several hedges. It can be acceded by the EM (Nogueira/Portela do Vade), at a distance of 7 km from the waterfall.

Located in Leonte, at an altitude of 872 metres, the waterfall that falls from on high is quite beautiful in winter and in spring.

On the extreme north of Portugal, between the Cávado and Homem rivers valleys, in the Peneda-Gerês National Park, one finds the Gerês mountain that is 35 km long, 18 km wide, and reaches an altitude of 1507 metres. It is a water filled area and the richest mountain in the country, both in its flora and in its fauna. Of granitical nature, the mountain composes huge amphitheatres and incomparable sceneries. It also has cultural points of interest, namely due to its pre-historic vestiges.
