This museum has a vast collection of contemporary Portuguese art from the 1960s to the present, having as its initial core the collection of the Prize for Plastic Arts of Funchal, an initiative carried out in the years 1966 and 1967.

Presents one of the best collections of Flemish religious painting from the 15th and 16th centuries in Portugal, with the São Tiago and São Filipe triptych standing out. The exhibition also features liturgical costumes, jewelry pieces, religious sculptures and Portuguese painting.

Considered by many the best Portuguese player of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo, born in Madeira, is already eternalized where he was born. The CR7 Museum celebrates the star, highlighting the achievements he achieved and recalling some of his most emblematic moments. Theatre built in the end of the XIX century by the architect Tomás Augusto Soler. It was first called Teatro Dona Maria Pia, and then changed to Teatro Funchalense, after that to Teatro Manuel de Arriaga and at last Teatro Baltazar Dias, paying homage to the Madeira dramaturge from the XVI century.

Por último e, em fase de montagem, a Sala das Bonecas. O acervo conta com peças oriundas de Portugal, Inglaterra, Alemanha e França. A colecção de Brinquedos ocupa agora todo o segundo andar do Edifício datado do séc. XVIII.

In July 2006, born the Instituto do Vinho, do Bordado e do Artesanato da Madeira, I.P. (IVBAM), which includes the Instituto do Vinho da Madeira (IVM) and the Instituto do Bordado, Tapeçarias e Artesanato da Madeira (IBTAM). This entity is responsible for the promotion and dissemination of these regional products and the issuer of the certificate of quality for Embroidery and Madeira wine. This institute brings together Madeira embroidery dating from the XIX-XX centuries, costumes and other props, showing the execution process of Madeira embroidery and its history.

Military Museum Located inside São Tiago Fortress.

Museum placed at the former Thermal Power Station of Funchal, exhibiting a vast collection of documents and rare models of machines and equipments. It is possible to observe the course of lighting in Funchal, since the oil-lamp, through kerosene until electricity.
