Situated inside the Castle, where patents are exhibitions of archaeological heritage of the municipality of Alcoutim, having as leitmotiv a history that began over 5,000 years, covering the Neolithic, Chalcolithic periods, Roman, Visigothic and Muslim, relevant archaeological research carried out in recent decades in Alcoutim.

In this museum one may enjoy the history of the sacred Art from the various churches of the municipality. The goods are, mainly, pictures and panels.

In this museum you will find exposed the whole history of the Guadiana river, since the river transport of ore to the various types of artisanal fishing, through smuggling activities that took place during the Estado Novo. Highlight for the display of thumbnails of José Myrtle entitled "Traditional Boats of the Bajo Guadiana".

At this nucleus you may admire a classroom from the 1950’s/60’s, with all the elements and materials used at the time, from the wood writing-desks to the old school books, blackboard and maps, among others.
