Melides is holding its traditional annual fair from 17 to 19 November, organized by the Parish Council and with the support of the Municipal Council of Grândola.
Like every year, the main attractions are the traditional regional sweets, the "alcomonias" and the pine nut sweets, the Franca Fair, the crafts and the entertainment shows. The famous Alcomoniassão are one of the most sought-after specialties at the Melides Fair. This sweet is made with toasted flour, sugar/honey and pine nuts. The local handicrafts include wicker baskets, wooden chairs, clay pieces, dried fruit and regional wines.
An unmissable weekend event, with lots of entertainment, flavours and aromas.
