Igreja Matriz de Oliveira do Conde
This monument dates from the 12th century and it was deeply reformed on the 18th and 19th centuries. It conserves the original Gothic main chapel with the vaulted opening. Beneath the gothic – manueline arch there is the knight Fernão Gomes de Góis tomb executed in 1440 by João Afonso, the bells master. The tomb has a fallen statue, abundantly decorated laying above four lions with closed and brushed mane. It also stands out the chapels and altars from Our Lady of Conceição, a sculpture from the 17th century and Saint Christ. In one of the niches on the Gospel side it is São Pedro image sculpted in calcareous. On the other side the niche shelters the wooden image of São Paulo.
