Quinta do Convento da Franqueira
Quinta do Convento da Franqueira, situated in Barcelos, is a space of turismo de habitação installed in a former Franciscan convent from the 16th century. From here you can see a beautiful landscape that spans from the Gerês to the sea. The main House has four guest rooms, but who seek an accommodation with kitchen may stay in the apartment of the cloister, which is located on the ground floor. The Gate House, totally independent of the main house offers visitors more privacy in their fourteen acres of private grounds, visitors will find the lush fields and gardens of Franqueira but also a pool filled with water from the source of the property. The farm has its own production of vinho verde.
